Either console out selling the other right now is strictly because of supply and demand as whatever is on the shelf is getting scooped up. Even if you do come across a wild ps5 or xbox it won't be there long.

The only places this would be really different in is Asia for xbox

I thought something was up as soon as I saw the account the tweet was from.

I fully believe that the PS5 is selling better, but I have trouble believe it's at nearly a four to one ratio. I'd expect the numbers to be relatively close.

I don’t care about the xbox numbers but I thought sony had 10-15 million consoles on standby and all this shyt about how they’re flying them in from china which was gonna be expensive as hell because they normally ship them and blah blah blah...yet ppl are struggling to buy a PS5 with “only” a million sold...if the sony numbers are accurate then it means sony is holding back inventory smh

Those numbers look off by a lot. But I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised that PS is outselling Xbox. That's been the case every console generation. The funny thing are the fan boys celebrating in the comments like Sony is splitting the profits with them.

highly doubt sony is holding back inventory when they are witnessing the biggest hype we have ever seen for a new console

if it’s true that they take a loss for each console sold then it’d behoove them to release a specific amount per quarter or limit inventory until PS5 digital sales/game profits put them in a position where they can afford not to hold back inventory

they want as many ps5s in as many people's homes as possible IMO
especially for the next gen only titles
this hype is historic and they will want to take full advantage so they have a large install base quickly
if ragnarok is ps5 exclusive they will want ps5s everywhere to boost sales

even if that were true (first time hearing it), COVID will definitely fukk up any production in terms of parts and by sea transport
