They've been in cahoots. That's why the fanboy wars are so funny. Neither is gonna make to many risks/innovations that the other wouldn't. They stand to gain more by keeping the systems similar.
The new price tag will become reality if Michael Pachter said so. Microsoft/Sony and big 3rd party devs are taking advantage of customers big-time just because they can. Raising the price of XBL Gold, still charging $60 for PS3/360 games in 2013, charging extra for content already on the disc, etc...glad I'm not a hardcore (console) gamer anymore; Skyrim was the last game I bought and that was in 2011.
I've got a loaded laptop with a 7850 Graphics card coming this week, and I'll build a gaming desktop sometime next year when vid cards surpass PS4/720 so I'm good.

my problem is there always seems to be an interruption the times when I attempt to play online like my kids or wife needing something. or the phone rings or something.
then the main game that I really WANT to play online (NBA 2K) is totalin the online department.
