Developers have said games don't cost much more to make than current gen, yet they want to hike prices by $10.

The new price tag will become reality if Michael Pachter said so. Microsoft/Sony and big 3rd party devs are taking advantage of customers big-time just because they can. Raising the price of XBL Gold, still charging $60 for PS3/360 games in 2013, charging extra for content already on the disc, etc...glad I'm not a hardcore (console) gamer anymore; Skyrim was the last game I bought and that was in 2011.

I've got a loaded laptop with a 7850 Graphics card coming this week, and I'll build a gaming desktop sometime next year when vid cards surpass PS4/720 so I'm good.

They've been in cahoots. That's why the fanboy wars are so funny. Neither is gonna make to many risks/innovations that the other wouldn't. They stand to gain more by keeping the systems similar.

At least you know. Funny thing is, that the few remaining companies that innovate, are getting shytted on by gamers and the press alike. When all of the new IPs are first person shooters or games that have nothing but guns, is when stagnancy has dominated. What is the PS4/ 720 generation gonna offer us outside of better graphics? On top of rumors of games costing people $70 with inflated gaming budgets? Gaming is going to go through another crash very soon if people don't put effort into correcting problems of now.

Both GTX 680 or GTX 690 will both surpass the next gen and they are both out right now. No need to wait till fall to enjoy next gen gaming breh.

my problem is there always seems to be an interruption the times when I attempt to play online like my kids or wife needing something. or the phone rings or something.

then the main game that I really WANT to play online (NBA 2K) is total in the online department.
