The kick difficulty increased slightly, the 2 pt difficulty is unchanged.

To me, the biggest impact is the defense scores. That actually provides a detriment to going for two. How many times do we see teams go for two earlier than "the card" tells them to go? I think teams would be less likely to go for two early when they're chasing that 1pt if there's a chance they could lose two points on the play

I can already see the Cowboys losing off a missed PAT with it getting blocked and returned for a TD

this is stupid.

People equate touchdowns with 7 points.

When it's late in a 7pt game and a team has made a dramatic comeback and scores a TD, the fans subconsciously consider the game tied b/c the extra point is a formailty.

Fans are gonna be riled up, excited......only for a kicker to botch the point and ruin the entire comeback.

why not just do away with the extra point kick and award 7 points for entering the end zone then, guy?

Yup, I meant to say a blocked FG that crosses the line of scrimmage.

The rule is easy, if the defense scores in any way they can score on any other football play, they get 2 points.

This is a good point. Right now that 15 yd penalty goes on the kickoff, I wonder if they'll change it back to being enforced on the PAT? Or do coaches have a choice?
