Do any of you dumbness realize that the extra is never ever missed in the NFL.

There is nothing entertaining about the extra point. Either do away with it or make it more intriguing

People equate touchdowns with 7 points.

When it's late in a 7pt game and a team has made a dramatic comeback and scores a TD, the fans subconsciously consider the game tied b/c the extra point is a formailty.

Fans are gonna be riled up, excited......only for a kicker to botch the point and ruin the entire comeback.

This is the dumbest reason possible to argue against this rule

i'm just sayinig, when a playoff game or something is on the line, and a team has worked all 4th quarter for a dramatic comeback.....and the kicker botches the extra point & blows the game, it's gonna be bad for the fans/viewers.

Rule was proposed by the Eagles and Patriots, so expect them to look at going for 2 often.
Colts also proposed a rule aimed at encouraging 2 point conversions so they'll probably be out there playing wild next year.

I don't get how you can't see that being a bad deal. The team busts their ass for a 80 yd TD drive to tie a game(with the exra point) with 15 secs and then the kicker misses the silly XP and now the team loses the game.
