Nah McNair was the truth. Like a poster earlier said he was hamstringed by a very bland offense. Also he played for a team where his BEST receiver was Derrick Mason. There's a reason he won co-MVP despite the Peyton D riding. He had a 3 year run where he was that dude. Reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson with height.

The only knock on McNair was that he wasn't great for long and he was very injury prone. He may have not had the career of McNabb, but his peak was much higher IMO
That's why I said he was a good, not great QB. He definitely had his moments, but great QBs have runs longer than three years.

From '99-'03, when McNair generally played really well, they went to the Super Bowl and came within a yard of OT and had records of 13-3, 13-3, 7-9, 11-5 and 12-4. That wasn't all McNair. When Fisher has talent, his teams perform.

This narrative is played out on here. The Rams would be leading the NFC South, but they play in arguably the best division in football and have had one of, if not the toughest schedules in football. He's only been there two years and his QBs for most of their games have been Kellen Clemons, Austin Davis and Shaun Hill.

:what:So would 3/4 of the league.

Meanwhile they're trying to run Coach Tomlin out of town... shyt's disgusting

He should bounce and go to San Fran.

A lot of these so called great coaches arent all that great. WHenever you have time look up Gruden's coaching record too. THen factor in his best team was one he inherited from Dungy. Then factor in how average he was when he lost that defensive coordinator.

Lets put it this way: John Gruden
  • Was in Tampa 7 years and won the superbowl his first year there...With a team already built by Dungy
  • After that first year he went the last 6 years WITHOUT a single playoff win and only had 2 appearances

how u gonna forget Gruden was the MAN in Oaktown?

If McNair maintained his athleticism as he increased his QB skill...

he would have been a HOF imo. As you said he was beat up later on. But early on dude was an incredible athlete. People forget that Steve was "Air McNair" coming out of college. That offensive system his first few years really didnt enhance his development. It was a lot of two TE sets. Dink and dunk offense, etc etc.

What could have been :mjcry:
