Where the NFL teams got fukked up is thinking QB's need to start right away. There's nothing wrong with letting a first round QB sit for a few years. The best QB in the league right now (Romo) sat several years before starting, so did the second best QB in the league right now (Rodgers). Look at Tyrod Taylor this year in Buffalo after having several years on the bench.

Its really the scouts that are clueless. Not all of them, but alot.

I swear these dudes don't even watch college football.

there are specific physical benchmarks that the Seahawks for instance have been able to identify and track over the past several years that have completely revamped their roster and why they've been so successful in the later rounds, Its especially useful for defensive linemen. The kid they took out of Michigan hits everyone of those benchmarks but...

The thing that really isnt trackable or scoutable is work ethic and coachability- which a lot of teams ignore and ends up blowing up. A lot of guys just cant handle being pro's. Cleveland took two of those guys in the first round in 2014!

He was being hyped the fukk up after his junior year but his senior year was awful, right?

Yeah he was really good the year before he left.

He really didn't love the game tho....or at least not the NFL game.

Well there are some terrible quarterbacks in the league, a handful of average ones and the elite quarterbacks are a dime a dozen. Hence why the likes of Tannehill, Ryan, Stafford, Cutler etc have been paid big. There aren't many good quarterbacks around.
Elite qbs area dime a dozen?

Btw tanne hill had over 4000 yards last year and 27 tds and 12 ints
That's nothing to shyt on four a 3rd year player
