yea drafting a guy with absolute no knowledge whether he has ties to a murder is dumb

just imagine if he was charged with murder
but he wasn't and it was doubtful that he even really had ties to that

plus the whole "if anyone drafts me in the 6th-7th round I refuse to play" shyt actually worked....smh

I think yall need to stop acting like finding an elite QB is down to a perfect science.

Not every QB is going to fit what system they play in, in the NFL.

Not every QB pans out like we hope they would.
They don't let these guys even grow anymore . Arod might have been the last good qb to sit behind a star to groom.

Nobody is or should be doubting Romo, honestly I'd say he's top 3 right now, but better than Rodgers? :francis:

Not saying he is better than Rodgers...what I am saying is that people scoff at even mentioning Romo as the top QB in the game and as far as I am concerned, from the second game of last year until right now, only Rodgers has an argument to be over Romo, and you can make an argument both ways there.

I'm an efficiency guy and nobody has been more efficient throwing the ball in the last calendar year than Romo...not even Rodgers...

Also the reason that QB's get thrust into a starting spot so quick is because coaches lifespans are shorter than ever and owners and fanbases patience are shorter than ever...

Not really a matter of "stupid" more a matter of instant gratification...

shyt you can find stuff on the net right now about how Lovie need to be fired because of Winston one bad game...

He really need to be fired for running everything out of that bland tampa 2 and bland tampa 2 shell that even a rookie QB like Mariotta can diagnose instantly but that's another post for another thread

Gabbert, Locker, & Ponder all being 1st round picks in the same draft will always be the biggest draft day :dahell:in my lifetime
I stopped watching the draft after that shyt.. these GM can't actually watch college football.. I hate how you hear nothing from these guys all year then all of a sudden they are the best QB's.. they never randomly hype a black QB like that

A lot of teams don't have the institutional knowledge at developing QBs.

A great QB coach makes a huge difference as a lot of young players need to work on their mechanics.

Blaine Gabbert y'all. Blaine Gabbert. He had nothing going for him except for looking the part, whatever that is. I'm still puzzled to this day.
LMAO, they really said he "Looked the part". That's just horrible. I would say I don't know what that means, but......

Where the NFL teams got fukked up is thinking QB's need to start right away. There's nothing wrong with letting a first round QB sit for a few years. The best QB in the league right now (Romo) sat several years before starting, so did the second best QB in the league right now (Rodgers). Look at Tyrod Taylor this year in Buffalo after having several years on the bench.

This is really the root of the problem more than anything.

Basically he was tall, white, really intelligent and a good athlete. In some defense of him, San Fran has turned into a good backup/trade bait. But yea thought he was a 3rd or 4th round talent at best.

Maybe they should stop looking to the college game as a farm system and build their own minor league.

That way they can groom all the stiff ass prototypical QBs they want. It'd also fix the wage issue with the NCAA.

The problem is a majority of college QBs are running spread offenses and its obviously REALLY hard for these clown GMs to project these college QB to the next level.

So conversely when a college QB with decent physical tools actually runs a pro style O in college they automatically get overvalued when you would think it would be easier to scout/project these dudes to the next level.

So GMs are flatout missing on both spread AND prostyle college QBs. It's pathetic given the resources and salaries they guys get to hit on the most important position on the field.
