NFL teams refuse to kick field goals unless there’s 3 seconds left in the game

And then the kickers miss because they never get to kick field goals

I don't have a problem with them going for it there.

I saw something a few weeks ago where some coaches were talking about it, and it makes sense. With the new kickoff rules, if you kick the FG, then your opponent is two first downs away from getting into FG range off the kickoff. If you go for it and don't score, they are pinned deep. The potential loss of three points there is worth the change in field position.

It is probably not prudent to fire a coach in the middle of the game, but Raheem Morris might need to make an exception and get rid of his bullshyt special teams coach and offensive coordinator. Atlanta's defense is too good to be having bums killing your chance at getting wins.
