It's not exclusive anymore apparently. EA kinda hinted at that earlier this year when they said no comment on exclusivity. If they did, they'd be sure to say so as they've done in the past.

:blessed:

this is good. hopefully they are forced to make major upgrades to madden.

hell, hopefully this gets them hungrier to work harder on NBA live as well without that NFL exclusive license to fall back on as their cash cow.

2K is so overrated its retarded. Game was goat, then they had to adjust because Madden on PS2 had this 3D look to it
2K tried to counter, and the game turned into ass imo

I'm not saying they couldn't have evolved from there. But if NBA2K is any indication?
Isn't most 2K gamers complaining about how the basketball game isn't improving.. its regressing really

So having even less resources since they would have to focus on NFL as well. I think 2K Football would be some shyt if they never left.
2K Football wasn't on the same level as 2KNBA in terms of :noah:
So there is no reason to assume it would have improved for the better
:wtf:

This dude man :snoop:

First of all 2k series originated on Dreamcast and it played better than anything out for a bargain. As usual your full of shyt wrong and even lying or just straight making up things for some odd reason.

2k football literally changed the game. Shook madden up they took their money bags and bought the rights to keep pumping out inferior product year after year cuz they couldn't hang innovatively. As usual u champion the bad product u forever stay falling for the pissy mattress sale.

Kunta, before you start calling names and stuff :stop:
You jumping to conclusions. I'm more than well aware of the origins of the 2K series. Won't even say what I could
I vividly remember going to Toys R Us to cop a game, then seen 2KFootball on display with the Dreamcast on sale already for $199. I wrote a check and bounced bruh
What you quoted wasn't talking about 2K-2K2/3. 2K4&2K5 was on Xbox and PS2 because the Dreamcast only last 2yrs
Instead of apologizing, you should sleep one night on a pissy mattress so you can see how I hurt :to:

The gist of what I was saying bruh, Madden made adjustments. Mainly introducing the ability to knock down passes with the L1 button. Actually being able to make a play is what made Madden the better game
Casual players preferred 2K because it wasn't as hardcore
Then they tried to make 2K more Madden sim'ish but I didn't like the changes. The passing game seemed broken at times
It wasn't as rewarding as it was in Madden imo :manny:

"While there has some some question as to the status of the exclusivity of the Madden license, owing to the fact the last mention of the license by EA only said there were a number of years left on it with no mention of exclusivity. That was never a guarantee that the license wasn't exclusive, as EA hadn't mentioned in official documents that the license was either extended or exclusive since the initial deal -- the news of the prior extension was never fully confirmed by EA.

Expecting a different approach where EA held a pomp and circumstance parade has led to a rash of unfounded rumors that another competitor, namely 2K, was developing a football game. There was even an unfounded expectation that 2K might even debut a football title at E3.

However, the biggest news to come out of the 2K camp at E3 might have been Ronnie2K confirming that not only was 2K not working on a football game, but that the license was still exclusively owned by 'someone else.'

This isn't surprising, considering the NFL license being open for other partners would have almost certainly leaked by now by someone. The current deal's term length which has been widely speculated and rumored is that Madden still has two to three years in its current deal, pushing the game well into this new generation.

It still remains unlikely, even if the license was open, that a competitor could rise up to compete with Madden in any reasonable amount of time given the more advanced needs of today's sports gaming audience. Thus, given the license's current status, it is possible that any possible competitor wouldn't be ready for release for at least 18-24 months after the license was actually acquired by someone, which puts the most reasonable timeframe for a Madden competitor at least four to five years from now, if ever. The most likely scenario remains that EA and Madden will remain the only major NFL gaming option on big box consoles for the foreseeable future."

Do basically that was an empty challenge by that EA employee. He knew 2K couldn't "bring it".

Right now 2k is pissing me off more than EA. 2k should send a tweet or something about their status on the license. Just let us fans know what's up. Say something. Sh1t!!! EA prolly just trolling us getting our hopes up for nothing.
I completely agree. Instead of having everyone speculate what the hell is going on just come out and say if you are able to get a license or that shyt still on lock down.

Won't even be fair. EA probably pay Microsoft and Sony 600 million dollars to not release it on their systems.
