The gist of what I was saying bruh, Madden made adjustments. Mainly introducing the ability to knock down passes with the L1 button. Actually being able to make a play is what made Madden the better game
Casual players preferred 2K because it wasn't as hardcore
Then they tried to make 2K more Madden sim'ish but I didn't like the changes. The passing game seemed broken at times

Thus, given the license's current status, it is possible that any possible competitor wouldn't be ready for release for at least 18-24 months after the license was actually acquired by someone, which puts the most reasonable timeframe for a Madden competitor at least four to five years from now, if ever.
