Aikman and Irvin made the HOF on the strength of their 3 rings not their numbers. There are guys sitting outside of the hall looking in with better numbers than both. There was nothing remarkable about the regular season stats for either guy.

Emmit actually avg more attempts during his time with those guys than AD has during his career so far.

But they made the pro bowls those years too :camby:

So once the basis of your assertion gets refuted you change your basis? This is coloquially know as moving the goalposts. :heh:

... I wonder if you know that they are selected to the pro bowl before they won the championships ? :usure:

So if they were already pro bowl players.. before the rings each year.. then their stats were still good..

but :dead: at you thinking Michael Irvin getting 1300+ receiving yards each of those seasons, including a 1600 yard season arent good stats

I wonder if you know that there was no mention of pro bowls in the post I originally quoted. Beyond that Pro bowls or even HOF (aka things that are voted on not objectively done on the field) don't prove the point that the offense wasn't run through Emmitt which was your whole point right? Add to that that your AD point was massacred by the fact that Emmitt avg. more carries with Irvin and Aikman than AD has throughout his career. So at this point you are just arguing just to argue because your basis has been totally deconstructed and belief perserverance won't let you let it go. :ld: Bu...bu...but they made pro bowls. :dead: Aikman made pro bowls throwing for 3000 yds or less with 1:1 TD/INT ratios. Michael Irvin's numbers/pro bowl appearances are pretty indistinguishable from Herman Moore's. Stop it breh. :heh:

im not seeing any stats backing up your claims at all you are just speakin shyt. post some stats or :camby:

thats how i know you young... 3000 yards in the early/mid 90s wasnt even bad

you must be like 16 years old or something

why not just keep it real and say you never watched the cowboys in the 90s ?

You can't have one without doing Offense and Defense separately in my opinion
I'll even go as far as to say that there should be one for each individual unit.
But I'll stick to both sides of the ball right now as well as special teams

OFFENSE:

Barry Sanders
Joe Montana
Anthony Munoz
Jerry Rice

DEFENSE:
Reggie White
Lawrence Taylor
Deion Sanders
Ray Lewis

Special Teams
Adam Vinatieri
Gale Sayers
Devin Hester
Ray Guy

i agree that edge shouldnt be up there but what does manning have to do with this?

he wasnt out there throwing blocks for edge. and edge was the best back he played with.

Umm, Knowshawn Moreno. A bust till Manning came. When Mannong is on your team, you're never going yo get safeties near the LOS and linebackers are more worried about coverage than a run gm. Indy won a ring with Addai, not James.

addai, moreno, etc werent anywhere near as productive as james.

addai was just there at the right time.

and what other quarterbacks did moreno play with? teebow? you just knew they werent passing the ball. nor was the rest of the offensive lineup as good as it became.

You made the claim breh. I'm sure you have access to pro footbal reference just like I do. :heh: You show me these numbers that prove that the Cowboys offense didn't go through Emmitt and his 21 carries per game. I'm looking at em (in addition to actually having seen those Cowboys play) and I ain't seein it. :yeshrug:

After all Emmitt avg. more carries than a guy in AD that you acknowledge the offense runs through.

Michael fukkin Irvin averaged 100 yards PER game and had 111 receptions in a SINGLE season but the offense wasnt balanced ? ? :camby:
