lets get rid of conferences while we're at it
I just sonned you
If you got the top teams seeded already
and there's 4 teams in different divisions in the NFC with the same records, how they gonna decide who gets the nod
tell me that
if you just go off team records across the board you will have this problem more often than not
there are divisions and division titles for a reason, stop trying to fukk up the game and changing shyt they did that enough already

"I kind of like the way it is set up right now," Saints coach Sean Payton said. "I think we, like anyone else, just look at the schedule, what are the rules, what does it take to get in and then let's go compete and make sure we give ourselves a chance to do that."
"The committee, the league (and owners) feel you have to at least reward teams for winning their division," he said. "That's what you start off the season trying to do is win the division and go from there."
"As players and coaches, you don't control who you play, when you play or where you play," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said. "The thing you control is how you play."
I'm down. Let's make this a real tournament. 18 games and add two playoff spots.lets get rid of conferences while we're at it
how long has football in january been affected by the elements? you know teams have gone on the road and played in terrible conditions throughout history
i can see about the tie breakers stuff because they are rather crazy, but if both teams 12-4 exactly how tough were the schedules and how good are the teams?

....

So strength of schedule should be taken into account but strength of division shouldn't?
Doing something for a long time is not a reason in and of itself to continue doing something. Teams play their asses off throughout the season to be rewarded with homefield in the playoffs. It shouldn't be something you are given just because people want random ass groupings to mean something.
You really think the coaches going to cry about to the media before the game![]()

okay, we get rid the divisions. then what? i'd rather they keep it, but if they feel it should be changed, so be it.
Why must people go to such extremes? You can keep the system exactly the way it is and just stop rewarding sucky divisions. What is so hard to understand about this? If a division can't muster one team with a better record than the 3rd team in another division then you know what? Maybe that division just isn't good enough to get an automatic anything.
Maybe that division doesn't warrant representation in the playoffs and most certainly not a home game. If individual teams aren't good enough we put the onus on them to figure it out, get better, and try again next year what is wrong with doing this with divisions?
Leave it be only thing positive is more football.Exactly! The entire NFC north should not have a rep as they were not good enough.Who said anything about getting rid of divisions? Why must people go to such extremes? Tiebreakers you dumbfukk, Like I said.![]()
Have all six divisions in they playoffs is special treatment. I bet you would not watch if division counted for nothing anymore. And if the Giants don't get there oh well. It's a game. Get better and come back. Nothing wrong with dynasties.T
Giants never would've beating the undefeated Patriots in the superbowl with your talking
what you speak of is madness
Every year there's a division that is superior to the rest, just because your division is superior doesn't mean you should get special treatment
for losing out to your competition
