Its not really a sham. Its inherent, there's no way the NFL can do a "best of" any series

The Cardinals wouldn't have gotten in under this new seeding system either. This is just a change in how teams are seeded AFTER the playoff teams have already been determined.

How...Green Bay would still be in, they just wouldn't be hosting; which is fair. The weather alone potentially is going to put a better team out the playoffs.

NFC North had a down year really, Lions underachieved and both starters for Green Bay and Chicago missed significant time. Also NFC West was a very strong division this year. I think next year things will even out back to normal where the division winner will have a equal to equal record to the 1st wild card.

Nah. If you win your division then you certainly deserve a spot in the playoffs but it makes no sense that you should host a playoff game if my team has a better record than yours then we deserve to have that home game even if we came in 2nd in our division.
