Good, Division Winners get in the playoffs and that's it. They shouldn't be awarded with a home game because they barely won a horrible division.

I don't really have a problem with it staying that way it is. It does get a bit absurd when an 8-7-1 team gets to host a 12-4 team though. If they were to go ahead with this change, I would prefer to keep the divisions, as it keeps the parity. One of the best things the NFL has done in a while is make every week 17 game a divisional game.
I don't know, one of these days an 8-8 or 7-9 team will win the bowl and I will have a problem with that. 8-8 is not a good team.

Nah. If you win your division then you certainly deserve a spot in the playoffs but it makes no sense that you should host a playoff game if my team has a better record than yours then we deserve to have that home game even if we came in 2nd in our division.
That's not what y'all say about the Atlantic Division in the NBA

49ners and Saints should've won their divisions then this wouldn't be a problem
whats the point of being the division champ if you don't get home field advantage

What is the point of winning 12 games if you have to go on the road to play 8 win teams? Are you really trying to suggest that Green Bay and Philly somehow proved themselves more than the 9ers and Saints? Just because no other squad in their grouping could muster 9 wins while those teams had squads winning 12-13 games in their grouping somehow makes them more deserving of a home game? :what:

I'd say being guaranteed a playoff spot is incentive enough. Only 6 make it per conference.

Yes because they won their divisions, 49ners and the Saints did not

Oh I see. You are one of those "Drugs are bad because they are illegal. Drugs are illegal because they are bad." types. You are just gonna keep circling back to to the same argument that suggests that having the most wins out of a random grouping of 4 teams is more significant than having the 2nd or 3rd most wins out of 16 or even 28 if you wanna go that far with it and there is nothing that anyone can say to get you off of that flimsy argument because you have dug in and really aren't even trying to be logical. :manny: Carry on.

If you want homefield advantage you earn it by winning your divisons
whats the point of having divisions then
since GB division was hot trash this year, the 49ners should have no problem beating them because they got 12 wins right

It's called homefield advantage for a reason. Seattle should be able to go into any of the lower seeds stadiums and beat them right? However they won't have to and rightfully so because they are being rewarded for their season with homefield throughout. You can't acknowledge that homefield is an advantage and a reward and try to act like it doesn't have any bearing on the outcome of a game. Any team is gonna be more likely to win at home.

What is the point of going out and beating an NFL quality opponent 12 times if you are just gonna be punished for having a 13 win team in your grouping while another team gets rewarded with a guaranteed spot and homefield just because nobody in their grouping can muster more than 8 wins? Going out and getting the job done during the season >>> than being in a sucky grouping of teams.
