Giants went 9-7 in 2011. and won the superbowl.
all the other teams in the playoffs had better records.
did peeps back then have a problem with the system?

Yes. The Seahawks hosting a playoff game at 7-9 the year before was the biggest joke ever. I have been complaining about this shyt for years. It has nothing to do with the teams involved it's all about logic and fairness for me.

BTW the issue is not the teams in the playoffs having a better record it's the teams NOT in the playoffs having a better record or going on the road to face teams with inferior records.

Seattle winning that game quieted a lot of that noise.

I like it the way it is…

Sometimes tradition is better and I like the division meaning something regardless of record.

Win your division.

For myopic idiots sure. Anyone with sense understands that any NFL team can beat any other NFL team on any given Sunday, especially if they are at home. You could give some 4 or 5 win teams a home playoff game and they could win. That doesn't mean they belong in the playoffs.

Why would anyone be mad about the 7-9 Seahawks hosting? The whole point of a division is to create a rivalry, and taking away the home field would ruin that. You have to admit that that was a pretty amazing game.

The object of the game is to be the best period. :what: Divisions are just arbitrary groupings for scheduling purposes that have been given this added weight to create drama.

The regular season is the basis upon which teams make the playoffs and get seeded. :mindblown: at it not mattering any more once the playoffs begin. If that's the case why are regular season division champs rewarded in the playoffs? :heh:/:snoop: Green Bay was given homefield based upon silly rules. They didn't earn shyt with 8 wins breh.

I'm done, your a moron and don't know shyt about the sport.

The seeds come from the divisions you dumb ass

The winner of the playoffs, the touranment is crowned champion
you see who's the best by playing the touranment not regular season records

So in other words you don't really have a substantive response. :pachaha: I have thoroughly deconstructed every argument of yours and instead of providing a factual, logical rebuttal you bring out the insults and the fake ass "I'm done". What it really comes down to is you are clinging to a notion that you really don't know why you are clinging to it and you are riding with it because you really know no other way and lack the ability to consider anything outside of that which has already been established for you. That's cool you aren't the first or the last. :manny: I really am done...you have nothing so I see no point in wasting anymore of my time.

I just explained it to you fukking moron

The point of winning your division is to secure your seat in playoff, which is a TOURNAMENT
what you've done in the regular season doesn't mean anything once you get to the tournament

If the Division Winners All play each other, the best has no choice put to emerge

The Wild Card, is called the WILD CARD FOR A REASON

NFC North had a down year really, Lions underachieved and both starters for Green Bay and Chicago missed significant time. Also NFC West was a very strong division this year. I think next year things will even out back to normal where the division winner will have a equal to equal record to the 1st wild card.

nah. its not just this year. it happens far to often nowadays. and its moreso a product of the expansion from 6 to 8 divisions.

its not about the north under-achieving and the west being great. because next year, it could be the east stinking it up again, and the south could go on a great run and get snubbed.

this has been a normal occurrence for a decade now. i think more people are taking issue because of how the saints and 49ers are getting screwed over this weekend. dome & warm weather teams being forced to go on the road in the midst of dangerous weather conditions, while teams with inferior records are basically being catered to. i might not even watch those games.

warm weather teams have been on the road in terrible weather throughout the history of the nfl in the playoffs and has produce some memorable moments. you either suck it up and brave the weather or you lose.

every team play 16 games, either win your division or you face going on the road

Yep, making the divisions smaller is the main reason for this,

I just explained it to you fukking moron

The point of winning your division is to secure your seat in playoff, which is a TOURNAMENT

So why do you have such a problem with division winners getting in but not getting home games if they don't win more games than the other teams?
