North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
:beli:THIS IS HAPPENING OFTEN
BECAUSE THEY EXPANDED EACH CONFERENCE TO 4 DIVISIONS IN 2002.

THE TOP WILD CARD SEED IN EACH CONFERENCE USED TO GET A HOME GAME.

GO BACK TO 3 DIVISIONS...NOT THIS STUPID IDEA

Not only that but free agency rules and the salary cap have created parity. This is what they wanted. 9-7 teams winning the super bowl. Every team is in it. Week 17 use to be a week 5 preseason game with only teams that already locked up playoff spots jockeying for first round bye's or a home playoff game.

You can't have it both ways. The more tinkering they do with rules the more they fukk up the game.

Did even read what I said?

I said Green bay having homefield shoud not factor in because the 49ner's already beat them at home

if they are the better them, they should win bottom line everything else is an excuse

home field IS INDEED a factor.

if it wasnt, then playoff games would be played on neutral sites.

thats not even counting the fact that most teams dont play in the same conditions. and it just so happens that the conditions in both of the nfc wild card games this weekend are gonna be extreme. and neither home team earned the right to have home-field advantage.

And teams were also resting their best players for the playoffs too.

I liked that.

Green Bay earned homefield by sweeping their division, they are the division champs

If San Fran division is so much tougher, than they should beat Greenbay regardless of homefield

:dahell:

The fact that they have a top 5 record in their conference and top 10 record overall in the league is irrelevant. They didn't have more wins than the 4 teams that they were randomly grouped with. That's all that matters. Common sense, logic, and fairness really have no place in this discussion breh. :troll:

Redo the schedule. Although I heard the NFL wanted to expand to 18 games(19 weeks)

So how would you schedule it?

Right now it's
- division opponents twice for 6 games (I like that cuz it makes the divisions worth something. Otherwise it's random delineations in your schedule on who's a "division opponent")
- The teams in your conference who finished in the same place as you in their division for 3 games (I like this cuz it guarantees that the top teams in each conference play each other)
- Another division in conference for 3 games (helps with 'common opponent' comparisons for ties in a division)
- A division in the other conference for 4 games (good for inter-conference play and also good for common opponent comparisons)

I think the first two are great and should stay. Perhaps, instead of matching inter-conference play by division, match it by place finished in your division for 4 games. That'll ensure that all the top teams in the LEAGUE play each other.

I hate the idea of expanding the season. The nature of the sport is to injurious and I think it would diminish the product on the field.

I might just go straight conferences

Maybe no interconference?

3 games against your division?
Face everyone else in the conference once -12 games.

That's 16. And match by place for 2 games. That get's up to 18.

I never done this before, forgive me if it's stupid.

I remember when the 12-4 Colts had to travel to 8-8 San Diego in the 08 Wildcard and loss :smh: Chargers own us recently but theres no fukking way they should have had that game at home.

anybody remember when they re-structuring the divisions and they were planning on extending the playoffs to 16 teams?

what yall think of that?

i know jerry jones is all for it.

nobody said that san fran is "so much tougher". but they had a superior season.

this is the nfl dog. anybody can get beat on any given sunday. and the playoffs are sudden death. theres really no room for errors such as this brain-dead playoff format.
