The defense is literally ranked TOP 3 in the league by most major metrics :mjlol:. How much better do you need them to be?

In terms of yardage but that’s not the metric I’m using. I don’t fully trust the D.

Jameis is my FSU goat but he largely held this team back.

My theory is teams play hard and overachieve for Brady because they witness the work he puts in. You look at that Patriots team yesterday and it’s like no one on both sides of the ball are trying or even care. The Pats D always played hard to keep themselves in the game because they believed in Tom. Look at how Tampa Bay morphed into contenders instantly. Belichick needed to be humbled too.

Bucs were a few missed field goals from being 9-7 last year with Jameis turning the ball over more than 30 times. They literally just needed somebody who wouldn’t be that bad.
