The game is already in a great space, I don't understand why they insist on continuously fukkin with the rules
They want every aspect of the contest to be a game-changer. An extra point turned out to be the difference in New England going to another Super Bowl.

fukking with the kickers but yet and still cant get simple rules right like what is or isn't a catch. They already messed with the distance last year. Now they are really trying to force teams to go for 2 if they narrow the goal posts and cats start missing 30 yarders.

I hate kickers so I like this move. Games shouldn't be decided by kicks. They should be decided by touchdowns.

I agree. I wouldn't be mad if they eliminated place kicking altogether. You either score a TD, go for it on 4th, or punt. But people love the fake drama that kicks provide :manny:.

Regarding the possible change in goal post width, I don't care either way.

I think they think the net effect is putting a stronger emphasis on TDs as the uncertainty of FG kicking increases. But it could backfire as we start to see more punts in the 40-50yard FG range cuz teams don't want to take that risk and give up great field position.

I don't thinkaltering the width of the goal posts is worth the risk, so they shouldn't change it, but I'm not up in arms about it. :yeshrug:
