Their PR will be back to normal after camps start. No sensible person thinks bad of the Pats because of what Hernandez did.
It's not even that big of a PR nightmare tbh. The way the media moves today they pick up and drop things all the time. The pats separated themselves quickly and that's it.
If Hernandez played for the Jets we'd have local media guys looking for the Jets to get the death penalty.

They're not banning tattoos, not at all.
They're just ramping up an existing effort to look into these dude's background via tattoos on their bodies.
Regarding the Pat's/Hernandez, clearly they knew something was amiss with him. Which is why they offered him that behavioral incentive laden low risk rookie contract. Hernandez said all the right things during the interviews, and the Pat's felt comfortable taking that risk...it took a while, but it ended up burning them.
