as a black man you have to understand roadblocks will come up. I'm getting my MBA so I can't be denied on education for the jobs I want even though I have a undergrad in finance.

I know to leave no stone un-turned and you have to work twice as hard to get 1/2 as far....

the people saying this is racist are the ones kind of being racist because they are making the implication that most black agents don't already have college degrees or unable to get an education to acquire one.

Because although blacks have done well on the field, off the field has traditionally been a white male dominated area.

They see a brother saying "Yo, why shouldn't I get in on this"...and they are enacting new rules to stop it.

Black folks shoulda been recognized all the money being left on the table.

It's not just this rule...there seems to be a lot of fear over what Jay is trying to do. Most of the managers and agents in entertainment (GATEWAY types in movies, maybe not as important in sports) are white or jewish.

I feel like the glass ceiling is being purposefully raised, even if just a little.

Plus a lot of those cats that are entrenched agents funnel money to their homies for an extra cut OR just to straight up gut their player's bank account.

It's not just agents that are leaning back. It's their money manager/real estate agents/runner friends as well. This ain't Jay's only hustle so he doesn't have to give sideways advice for cats under his imprint. It seems like he'd be the one trying to share the wealth and get more people to his level.
