Because if Jay just becomes an agent, what's that to stop everyone else who just all of a sudden wants to be an agent from becoming one?

I don't think it's too much to ask, a million other jobs, many where you truly do t need a degree ask for college degrees and beyond. How many non degree holding agents are there anyway?

when you put in hard work and years of dedication.....ain't it natural to take offense to someone waltzing in with no experience and taking big name clients w/o struggling in the trenches to some degree?

especially in a competitive field like being an agent....jay is taking food off of peoples tables. Not say it's right or wrong...but It's natural to be defensive to some degree.

In fields where a degree is truly required the employer needs to know you have the capacity to do the work. What degree corresponds to being an agent? Is there a negotiation degree? Can I get a degree in Forestry and that is enough for the NFL to determine I can be a qualified agent?

Plus agents are employed by athletes. The athlete should be able to hire whoever he wants to represent them.
