hali and houston are the biggest reason for that defensive dominance, Im sorry. they both combined have 85 total qb hurries
the next two best OLBs in the league (not on the same team even) in that department have combined 62 qb hurries.
I dont really understand why you think losing them would not make the defense look bad. again, you are almost ducking the question. last year our backup OLB was clark haggans and we didnt have anyone behind him even
so if we lost aldon and brooks in the same game and we played haggans and some other dude like gooden who isnt even an OLB...you would say that our defense wouldnt crumble ?
You're putting words in my mouth. I never said losing them doesn't matter. Of course there would be an effect on the D. But I don't think the loss is as big as you think it is....and I damn sure don't think it's as big as losing Rodgers.
If your D is entirely dependent on 1 or 2 players then you're not THAT good.
As for your example. I don't think our D would get worked for 41 points, no. We have quite a bit of depth.
