My Pops Forever RIP
There's nothing wrong with decent. Decent put up 30TDs last year.

Anyways. Teddy Bridgewater looking like the real deal right now. If he struggles next year, will it be time to get rid of him? Folk expectations are sky high and unreasonable when it comes to young QBs IMO.
If there's a belief that that the QB may not be the guy that could win a SB for you one day, they're done with you. That's a sentiment you can't be opposed to.

4th season and you can't win with Dalton.

Go ahead and give me the QBs doing all the winning being as Mediocre as Dalton.
We have a legit run game now. Imma give him one more shot. :yeshrug:

We have enough talent around him that we should be able overcome his limitations though. Or at least we could with creative enough coaching

Teams win SBs...not QBs. I personally think a team can win with a matured Dalton. Folk acting like he is ass. His arm is weak no doubt. But weak armed QBs can win in this league. Dude can help get you to the playoffs, with more experience he could be a good QB. I don't get why you bailing on dude when he helping win 10,11 games a season throwing 25-30TDs in his 3rd/4th year. Why you wanna start from SCRATCH and take a chance on a rookie who may or may not be able to match what Dalton has done let alone play better.

He's gotta cut down on the turnovers, though. Has to play better in the playoffs. But again, I look at the "greats" that folk talk about here....I'm old enough to remember how they were when they were starting out. Most QBs took time to become elite and some were not nearly as productive as Dalton when they started their careers.

With all that said, he needs to play well these playoffs or else I can't defend him anymore

This was my point. Lean on that run game, D, don't rely on him. The minute you ask him to lead your squad, you gon have problems.

Not just playoffs. Primetime games in General. He literally has the worst QB rating in primetime games in the league. 57. Almost 20 less than Christian fukking Ponder.

So I understand why people feel that way about him. Every time they get to see Dalton play, he's HORRIBLE. Like, that's the only chance most people get to see the Bengals unless they play their squad at some point. And every one of those games, Andy comes up pathetically small.

The teams gotta come up bigger but 57 passer rating in big games is beyond sad.

Agreed, but there is enough there to give him more time, no? I'm just looking at the thought of getting rid of him. OK. Get rid of thim. You draft a rook with a late pick and hope that he can match Dalton's production and have a higher ceiling while still being a contender? You get a new QB, you take a step or 2 back.

Perfect situation would be to have a good backup now.....so if Dalton does struggle, that backup can come in. Every team should draft a QB every few years for this reason.
