@Stick Up Kid Despite how they look on the field, the Steelers are one of those marquee draw type of teams in the same boat as the NFC East/49ers/Packers/Bears.

Plus, they have Rodgers, who is a NAME player (in what could be his final game).

You have to give him credit for how he played in the Super Bowl both times. He showed up and played extremely well. However, it's a team game and that Eagles defense was the real difference maker.

Many of these brain-dead Eagles fans would rather defend Hurts and say he's top five than recognize that he's limited in many ways. I'm not saying he's a terrible QB, but I would take 10-15 QB's over him without thinking twice. But, I don't want to beat a dead horse, especially because it seems like some of those same Eagles fans that would defend him to the bitter end are finally recognizing that he is very limited.

With that being said, I would not be shocked if he had a very good 3-4 game run come playoff time.
Hurts isn't perfect but I think most Eagles fans biggest issue is that when he wins "he has a great team" and when he loses "he sucks". The coverage on him personally is uneven as fukk.

Since hurts has become a starter the Eagles have won a number of big games off of his arm or running ability (against the best teams in the NFL).

Meanwhile I constantly have to hear about Mayfield, Herbert, Allen, Burrow, Lawrence, Goff get every excuse in the book made for them. But then also be told that in the NFL "winning is all that matters".

Is it Oochie Wally or is it One Mike?

I don't disagree about some of those QB's getting excuses, especially Herbert and Burrow. And, I give credit to Hurts for how he performed in the Super Bowl both times. I think the difference with some of the QB's you mentioned such as Mayfield/Lawrence/Goff, is that people weren't dying on a hill saying they were top five and criticizing people that thought Hurts was not top five.

And, regarding the coverage on him, that's what happens when your team won the Super Bowl last seasons and you are not playing at a consistently high level with weapons that every other QB in the NFL would swap with in an instant other than maybe five teams.

Not all the blame should be on him as the OC has seemed horrible too from the games I've watched with them. And, I would say Brown has given up on some routes and plays where he had a chance at making a big play.

I will take the Eagles roster over any team in the NFC when not factoring in the QB. I think there's too much talent on that team and offense that I believe Hurts will be able to get the ball to the playmakers come January/February. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit thinking that he and the offense can really get it going, but I think there's too much talent for them not too.

This aint the NBA.. it dont matter about players. its the teams and circumstances.

Burrow vs Rodgers got 6.3M viewers in Weeky 7
Seahawks vs Rams got 18M viewers in Week 15

You must not have been one of those 6.3 million people, because Joe Flacco was the quarterback that game, not Joe Burrow. Come on, son.

because he is top 10, especially watching QBs like baker, goff, darnold, etc play absolutely HORRIBLE and cost their team regularly, with zero criticism.

this was the problem last night and if patullo/sirianni is going to continue to game plan & play call like this come the playoffs, its lights out. but in their defense, it was a crazy rain storm and they love to do this p*ssy shyt whenever we have a 2 score lead. nobody is going to succeed with a negative run, 1 yard run, pass on 3rd and long with an uncreative ass play with routes behind the sticks gameplan.

Uhh...Darnold? He stays getting criticized.

People rag on Snoop for being a Pro Bowler and maybe that’s fair, but the guy’s a solid backup in the right system. I bet anything they’d have won that Rams game if he were in there instead of Rush.

Ravens and Steelers really are those Spidermen sometimes. Neither one ever seems to make it easy for themselves, no matter how favorable the odds are.

I don’t care about analytics and whatnot, I have no idea what Sean McDermott was thinking. They had all the momentum and probably would’ve won in OT. Take the PAT!

Trey McBride is being utterly wasted in Phoenix.

Feels like I say this every week, but SF is not gonna be an easy out. Might just be the last team standing in the NFC.

Guess the networks aren’t tired of Ravens-Steelers yet…my old self was hoping CAR-TB would get SNF. Will try to stay awake somehow, I guess. :russell:

As they should.
What exactly do you need to see?
I’m giving grace to him because he’s shown up in the playoffs and it seems their OC is a dud, but he has 9 wins this season with under 200 passing yards, like 3 games with under 5 second half completions, etc … anyone but Eagles fans are looking at that team knowing the defense is carrying them.

5/6 games where he’s had to throw over 30 times this season, they’ve lost.

Aside from him running 70 more times and stealing touchdowns from his running back, Hurts certainly hasn’t been a better quarterback than Darnold this year.
