Bo Nix is an excellent example of the view that great coaching will bring winning football out of any quarterback- everyone thought he wasn’t even pro level at Auburn then a stint at Oregon and now with a hall of fame coach on the Broncos has people switching up and recognizing that he’s a baller.

QB development has lost its way over the years due to many coaches and playcallers wanting to prioritize getting their system over instead of playing to the qb’s strengths and smoothing out his weaknesses- it’s like trying to be Bill Walsh without understanding why he was Bill Walsh.

Many NFL offensive coaches are stooges and charlatans. It’s why defensive coaches are usually more successful head coaches. Defensive coaches adopt to their talent.

It’s also why Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVey, Andy Reid and of course Sean Payton are the only significant offensive minded coaches of the last 15 years.
