The championship windows of many teams are closing

7 and a half minutes to go

Your team which had only managed a FG through 3 quarters

Miraculously has a chance to tie it at 17

But no

Your coach is Sean Payton

So you go for 2

And…

:wow:

This is the Sean Payton experience. Gutsy, aggressive call that happened to favor the Broncos this time. Had they not converted they’d be down 16-17 and giving the Eagles the ball back with a chance to score and then force the Broncos to score a TD to win. Crazy gamble that could have backfired and had some calling for his job had it not worked out. But it did and now people are calling it a signature win. Game of inches.

Not sure what the lesson is but clearly Coach was willing to risk it all. I’m sure the Broncos will be in some tight ball games going forward and you have to wonder if he’ll be emboldened by how this one turned out to continue taking big risks to gain big rewards.

While there will be some growing pains watching how Ben Johnson coaches is similar, he has no conscious which even if it goes wrong its refreshing coming from that docile fakkit flose.

Coaches who can put it on the table gets a thumbs up from me

He will.

He's Doug Pederson-esque (or maybe Pederson was Sean Payton-esque) "Pederson knows no fear"

The Super Bowl onside kick will forever give him cache.

No, they won all their games by a combined 9 points. The Bucs are this years Commanders. That's not sustainable.

Some teams can do it for an entire year. I remember the 2003 Panthers, the Cardiac Cats. Damn near did it do that Patriots Dynasty, too.

Bucs and Lions are the best teams in the NFL.
i can't get there with the bucs yet. they barely beat the texans, falcons, jets and a banged up seattle defense. while i think they are great i would put a few other NFC teams above them, let alone the AFC. eagles, 9ers and rams are better than the bucs imo.

If I were a defensive coordinator that had head coaching potential, I'd be trying to make friends with McD to come with me as my OC.

Brian Flores with McDaniel in Tennessee would be good.

Nah, no more black coaches taking over bad teams just to get canned in 1-2 years.

Flores to Bmore with McDaniel would be the perfect fit.

Most coaches who take over teams are going to take over bad teams.

It's rare that good jobs come available. Steichen took over a bad Colts team. Quinn took over a bad Commanders team. And our guy Ryans took over a bad and reeling Texans team and got them to the divisional round in back to back years.

I'm glad Bowles is doing well with his decent landing spot, though.

I didn't think Glenn should have gone to the Jets though, because that division is tough.

Flores in the AFC South, which probably won't be a juggernaut would be decent.

the cardinals coaching staff is absolutely garbage. they need to fire the OC and/or gannon because that offense is so bad and it's costing the team right now. 3 straight runs for 3 yards in their last drive in the 4th?? the rush game for the cards has been garbage and that is what you call to try and close the game out? the passing game was on fire yet they went away from it for some reason. Marv is wasting away with this cards team.
