PHILADELPHIA -- Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams said umpire Roy Ellison cussed him out during a drive late in the first half Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, an accusation teammates backed.

Williams said Ellison walked by him after a play and called him a "garbage-ass, disrespectful motherf-----."

It's very unprofessional. ... I'm at a loss of words. You never expect that as a player to have to beef with the refs also.

” -- Trent Williams on interaction with ref
Pool reporter Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch attempted to contact the officials regarding the accusation. The officials already were on a bus, so Phillips told the driver he needed to talk to head referee Walt Coleman. According to Phillips, Coleman came to the window and asked what he wanted. When Williams' account was relayed to Coleman, Phillips said the referee said, "OK," then directed the driver to roll up the window. The bus then drove off.
maybe the ref put bread on the game.

Mistake mediocrity for greatness, brehs.

What is making the season mediocre? Everyone complains about the NBA because you know what teams are going to make the playoffs and can pick four teams and at least one of them will make the Finals but now you have a competitive league where you don't know who the hell will win, it's virtually impossible to say "this team is going to the Superbowl" and you're guaranteed to have quality games in the final weeks of the season with all kinds of playoff implications and now it's mediocre...naw this shyt is going to be GOAT.

I learned that the Giants are the most blessed sports team I've ever seen.

1. Win a superbowl off a miracle 999/1000 times incomplete helmet catch and an Asante Samuel dropped pick
2. Manning to Manningham perfectly executed play. 9/10 times that's incomplete. Wes Welker bum ass dropping the championship clinching first down catch
3. Starting off 0-6 but they're in one of the most embarrassing divisions in sports so they are automatically still in playoff contention week after week

Watch they make the playoffs and win it all again

There are no great teams, so how can the season be great? Just a bunch of middle of the pack teams on some, "somebody's gotta win" type -ish. It's still entertaining, tho. I'll give you that.

I hear about this shyt on sports talk everyday. People are taking notice about the product this year.

You don't need great teams for a season to be great. When is the last time a great team won the Superbowl? Every team having a chance is what is making this shyt great. Would it surprise you if any of the teams in first place stumbled and lost the rest of their games or if the Jags or Bucks somehow went crazy and won the rest of their games? None of these teams seriously scare me when looking at them and this season is crazy because of it.

It's crazy. It's entertaining. But far from great. The execution has been bad this year. So many :mindblown: moments of mediocrity this year, and that goes to execution.

Matt Stafford's stat line this week says all you need to know about him. 362 yards passing with 2 TDs, but he went 19/46 :scusthov: The Lions staff need to figure out ways to not have Stafford throwing the ball 46 times a game when it was fairly close most of the game. 40% completion is beyond shyt.

Drew Brees makes the dumbest throws sometimes for being such a smart QB. Just out of the blue he goes Full Palmer and makes the dumbest throw imaginable.

The Redskins are playing this season according to their talent level. Bob and Alfred masked a whole lot of shytty personnel decisions and lack of talent last year. They couldn't do it 2 years in a row.

On the "mediocre" topic, there's great teams, it's just every team has a chance to win every Sunday. That's not mediocrity. It's what happens when you promote parity. Everyone has a chance. On paper it can look lopsided, but every team has the talent to keep up with every other team. The NFL ensured that those Bama vs Charleston State blowout type games that happen in NCAA rarely happen in the pros.

I thought that signing Reggie Bush would make things easier for Stafford.

Me too, but they gotta call run plays for the man to get the ball. I think him and Bell only had 20 carries total. There's no excuse for Matt fukking Stafford to be throwing the ball that much. That's a L almost every time. He ain't that level of QB yet and has always been inaccurate.
