Faux parity.
Execution is bad this year. D's are horrible (in part due to the rules), technique tackling is at an all-time low, on-field decision making is ata strikingly low level... Besides Peyton, Mega, no memorable performances of transcendent greatness for the season, the "prodigy" quarterbacks, sans Russy, look average to slightly above average... C'mon man... stop it.
So you should just go ahead and say that you want those overhyped media storylines OR like how it is in the NBA where you point to Bron, Melo, Curry, Durant etc and that's it? You ain't mention nothing about a team just individual performances.
The defenses played shytty in the first few weeks. The tackling was terrible etc, but that ain't the case no more. Football has always been an inherently offensive game. The rules have ALWAYS been shifted towards offense, but outside of a few outliers the defenses are fine.
All of those "prodigy" QBs (Bob, Luck, Russ, Kaep) are all playing exactly like they should. They're 2ND YEAR QBs. Maybe you, and the talking heads, shouldn't have put them in the HOF after their first year. The same thing happened to Cam. He came out blowing doors off his rookie year, then they figured out what he did shytty and started forcing him to his weakneses. If you watched Russ he's been average as hell too. They'll adjust in their 3rd years into the QBs they should be. I never expected them to play the same. Bob overachieved like crazy last year. Luck's team was better than folks wanted to admit and they were in a shytty division. Russ and Kaep had the protection of their defense and running games.
Peyton is the only one that has the responsibility of winning games by himself. The rest are team winning. KC is the best team in the league and they do it from all angles. This is the most balanced Pats team in a while, Carolina does it as a team, so does SF and SEA. It's refreshing that ESPN can't turn all of the NFL into 1 man shows like they do with basketball.
