Really give rookie QBs the benefit of the doubt but Trevor Lawrence’s season just looks horrendously underwhelming for a QB who was billed as the best prospect since Luck. Somewhat shocking to see (obviously I haven’t watched many of their games, so outside looking in)

how are Jags fans feeling?
Is the media really skipping over how bad he's playing this year and hoping his season is better next year? I ask because if this was any rookie QB his every interception would be getting dissected.

Nah.
1. He went to the most irrelevant team with no fanbase. He's easy to ignore.
2. The fukkery of Urban supercedes anything having to do with his play. He forreal gets a mulligan cause of that.
3. That team is void of talent and mixed in with the lions have the worst roster in the league.

The narrative that Quaterbacks are "ruined" or "failed" by their teams is not really accurate:

1) People said the Benglas would fail Burrow... but he's accurate, can read a defense, and has a good arm, and is decisive with the ball. So that helps Joe Mixon (since the defense has to account for Burrow). And they can get him a wideout like Jamar Chase because Burrow can throw nice passes to him.

I disagree.
The Bengals actually did a damn good job on their rebuild. They drafted some good guys Jonah Williams, Mixon, Sam Hubbard, Higgins, Boyd
Got good guys in FA like Von Bell and Trey Hendrickson, Mike Hilton. So they're doing well in the front office which is why they haven't "failed" yet.
But as if right now he hasn't done shyt Andy Dalton didn't do early on team wise. So its still a time will tell situation.

On the other hand look at other QBs where they go to teams with 0 talent, 0 weapons, horrible culture etc they gotta go through hell fighting all of that.

His head coach was out here thumbing a$$holes in sports bars and kicking kickers :skip:

he deserves the pass of all passes

Its sad the rams couldn't score on that defense. They had nobody on that backend.

It's crazy that Stafford didn't throw for 500+ and 4 TDs. Every Ravens fan has led me to believe that anyone can do that against that team and that what Joe Burrow did last week was nothing special.

Amon St. Brown could be turning into quite the receiver in Detroit.

We hate how he's playing, but we also know the team as a whole is ass.

Most of us are still taking the wait and see approach. We know it makes no sense to clamor for another QB right now.

yeah, it sounds like Urban set dude back from what I have read. that is just a damn shame

next year will be huge for Trevor, it sucks that he will already be having to learn a new playbook (Fields too)

Brian Flores and Grier desperately need to be fired. The Dolphins need to bring someone in who knows how to run an offense or hire someone who does. They also need to hire a GM capable of actually bringing in good Olinemen.
