i have to agree with the couple posters that mentioned how freeman is "micromanaged" and "handled".

vikings fans know all too well the effects of micromanaging and trying to instill a mindset of playing not to lose. instead of taking the natural talents, abilities and instincts of the QB and building and allowing that to flourish, we get coaches that squeeze the life out of them, so to speak.

as a result, you get a QB that is doubting himself; his mechanics, his decisions and his own ability.

imo, Freeman has a bigger upside than Ponder, so yes, i would definitely switch places.

I like the rest of my Viking brehs are done Pondering Christians quarterback ability and realize its time to move on. 3 years in and we still dont know what the hell he is and thats way too long. I like the Freeman idea at least I know he can throw the ball deep effectively and that would help our offense tremendously 8 in the the box Jennings and Simpson/Patterson one on one just throw it deep and let your receivers do their job. If I understand this why dont our coaches???

I would not trade Rudolph for Freeman you get a real QB in there and I guarantee you we would be talking about Kyle in the same breath as Graham, Gronk, Gonzalez(Weird all the top TE's last name start with G)
