It does especially in the regular season. Playoffs are really where TV networks make their money off the NHL because of higher ratings and ad revenue

PBC (boxing) on FOX puts up similar numbers with barely any budget. Boxing also did huge numbers when they were on CBS and NBC a few years back.

I seriously don’t know why they don’t invest this type of money into boxing.

Can you imagine the numbers if they actually marketed it right.

But Turner Sports has TNT/TBS/TruTV to put shyt on and ESPN will want more content for ESPN+

Wonder what that HBO MAX bit means exactly? TNT and HBO are both WarnerMedia...would they livestream NHL games through HBO Max, bypassing the need for some other cable package...or some kind of studio show?

They could do that.. Peacock live streams Soccer.
