LOL @ all the predictable deflections about "screaming racism" and the "race card" to shield against the obvious undertones that shape most of the posts in this thread.

Then when something like the Wayne Simmonds incident, Joel Ward incident, or Vanbiesbrouck casually describing his own player as the n-word happens again explain it away as being only representative of a fringe minority of hockey culture. Funny how the same people who obsess over pointless and subjective concepts like "class in sports" are the least likely to condemn actions like the former.

Also very amused at the people terrified their good ol' boy sport, will be "taken over" by negativity they always associate with the NFL and NBA. Hmm what's the common denominator between those two leagues and the player in question here? Just a coincidence right? Truth hurts.

The original thread you posted in got closed by mods anyway. Read through the whole thing and a vast majority of these people just don't get it. The also don't get the fact that subconsciously race is a factor in how they're judging him. They aren't gonna see it.
