He's looked like the best forward thus far for the most part. He's been coming back on D he's been solid.

I starting to think John Tortorella is not the coach to take the Rangers to the Cup. The grind it up out, dump and chase style worked pre-lockout, but it simply wears the team out and handcuffs the creativity of the offense/power play. Watching Tortorella get outcoched by Paul MacLean and Dale Hunter last year in the playoffs really exposed the fact that you outwork the Rangers you can beat them.

They have 2 lines worth anything. D has suprisingly been a little shakey. Tonight they were so flat it was disgusting if it wasn't for Lundqvist they would of lost 8-2. I think they were hoping for big seasons from Kreider, Stepan, and Hagelin and that really doesn't look like it's going to happen.

The thing about the Rangers is that they have no depth at all. 3rd D pairing is nonexistant and too many of their forwards are top-6 type guys. Which is why Kreider and now Hagelin with Pyatt's recent promotion have been buried. The top 2 lines are doing their job. Tortorella not trusting the 3rd line enough (he doesn't roll all four lines regardless) is exposing this lack of depth.

Sens are Canada's best team. Picking up where we left off last season. Karlsson working on his second Norris Trophy in a row. Feels good :ahh:

After denying rumours he's about to become president of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Wayne Gretzky told Hockey Night in Canada radio Wednesday he's been impressed with the way the Senators have been playing early this year.

"The team that I am pleasantly surprised with, and how good they're playing and how much depth and talent they have for a young group, is the Ottawa Senators," said Gretzky from Los Angeles.

"I'm really impressed by how they're playing and how they've started. They are strong on the puck, solid defensively. They could be a big surprise. It could be a fun year for the people of Ottawa."

It's like in basketball, you're not really watching the ball as much as you're watching the pg set the play up, screens being set, etc. ... same in hockey. Cause most of the time the play is happening away from the puck anyway.

Jamie Benn. 5 years, $26.25mil. :win:

Concerned about the length, as I'm terrified he'll bolt as soon as he hits UFA, but the money we got him for is :gladbron:

Same length and money Leafs signed Lupul for :stopitslime: Granted, they got him when he was a UFA.
