It has been done and is done on a regular basis in a lot of places. Like another poster said the capitalization on the situation is reminiscent of early 90's LA and even pre-Giulliani New York.

that's the point I was making and actually it's not that easy (make a video and make it go viral, lets see how easy it is) and they had all the surrounding high schools on the south side bumping their mixtape which they sold out the trunk err back packs. its just now with youtube they could make rap videos to go with it and be shown national/international, THATS what we didn't have in the 90s. Before shyt would be in the hood until a label showed it to the country, now you can show it to the country via the various mediums.

chicago already has 400 plus murders. at the murder rate right now, the most will be above 500. where are you getting your facts from once again? sometimes, the problem is that you have people that actually want their city to be fukked up and won't allow times to go forward. if people in your city are thinking like you, then of course the crime rate is going to be out of control.

i never disputed what you said about the 80s and 90s. i'm disputing what you said about chicago being on pace to having 700 to 800 murders this year. that's really overexaggerating it. philadelphia has a higher murder rate than chicago. doesn't change the fact that chicago is still bad though.
