The not gonna fire themselves

They trusted the wrong guy, but you want to absolve the “wrong guy.”

You can blame ownership AND blame Nico Harrison
I have no problem saying I don't know what happened. I dont care about absolving Nico. I just find it hard to believe that they were that stupid. But either way it starts at the top :manny:.

Happens in Government all the time. In most jobs all the time too. Just because it's sports why would it be any different? Hands on or hands off owner both have their pros and cons. Even long term Sports owners like the Kroenke's got conned by trusting the wrong experienced sporting people at Arsenal.
Its bullshyt when it happens anywhere. Shorts-sighted, easily manipulated, bitter, bigoted people let that bullshyt ride. I dont give anybody who runs shyt a pass. Parents get in trouble for what their kids do, even if they didnt know...because it's their job to know.

Trading him for a player who’s 6 years older with an injury history and not even future picks is malpractice

Also if you read the articles on how the deal came together Nico actually thought AD was a much better player. He was actually shocked he could get AD for Luka lol

I refuse to believe he thought this as a basketball executive:mjlol:

On the other hand,as a black man full of knowledge of self:salute:

I didnt get what all the fuss was about with Jokic either:myman:

That aint an excuse when you are in charge. They are either stupid or on some bullshyt. Either way it’s on them since it’s their team.
It’s on the owners for being stupid. That’s never been up for debate. The moment Nico even suggested trading Luka, he should’ve been relieved of his duties.

But there’s nothing deep about this. He isn’t some fall guy. He planted the seeds to trade Luka a long time ago, well before the new owners took over. He then fed Dumont some bullshyt and Dumont believed him. He has even come out and publicly stated he had to convince Dumont (who initially laughed at the idea).

Ultimately, this is all Nico’s doing, so I really don’t know why this board has this obsession with trying to deflect blame away from him. He let his ego get the best of him, and once he’s fired he’ll likely never get a job in the NBA again. And he’ll have nobody else but himself to blame for it.

The creh was dunking and shyt yesterday, and made two shots from like Lakers perimeter after the buzzer just for fun :whew:

Just hope that injuries don’t ruin anything for cats like him, Wemby and the others showing greatness right now. Already missing two-three of the best players in the game if not more

Then you aren't really familiar with New Sports owners being naive. Seen it happen plenty of times in various sports.

You get generally get 2 types the crazy ego maniacs who wants to do everything and interferes like the Suns owner. Or the ones who trust the experienced sporting people to do their job as they have the knowledge and give them freedom to operate. Nico had the latter and overplayed his hand trying to leave his mark to show whose boss as Cuban was no longer there.

They’re stupid

The Patrick cat came out and talked about work ethic and conditioning being critical to winning rings and cited Shaq as an example.

Nico finally had a boss he could convince to let him trade Luka.
