Kemba was kind of a big part of a Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets team that made the playoffs last season for the first time ever and his presence was greatly missed due to injuries this season.

Seems like you consider a player not being an all-star means that he's irrelevant - do I have it right or am I mistaken?

Lots of players are a year older. If you are a teen and u have a shot to be a great basketball player, they often keep you a year back so that you are a year older than most the competition. Gives you another edge, and that edge can help you get noticed by scouts/recruiters.

I mean overall though it's starting to become a theme now where the foreign guys are a lot more advanced at the same age than the US prospects. It's more pronounced now because foreign black players are starting to come in with skill and the athleticism, when it was just the Euros we were still good money, but now
