Nike lost nearly $10 Billion in marketcap in under an hour bc Trump slapped a 46% tariff on Vietnam, where Nike has 450,000+ workers and 130 factories

The large-scale offshoring of American manufacturing started in the '70s and '80s.

Also, manufacturing employment =/= the rate of offshoring.

Exactly. You’d think they’d want people to be able to afford all these things they sell

It's predation..they believe people are trapped in consumption.
It's borne of the idea that the American consumer buys goods at a far higher rate than global figures, suggesting people have an addiction to shopping and will not curtail their spending anytime soon so you can raise prices all willy nilly.

fukking bar. It’s not only Nike either, critical American infrastructures will be affected by all these tariffs.

Use your brain and think about the bigger picture, the forest, not the trees.

White people are dumb man.

brehs we aren't even 6 months in, just think how things will look a year from now

The switch 2 in Canada with no game is 629 after taxes that will put it up close to or just about 700 dollars. Even with the tarriffs you will still come lower than that.
This is the price before Trumps tarrifs. Who knows how much things will get repriced in a few months based on yesterday's tarrifs. Nike is also manufactured in multiple countries with generally higher tarrifs

Same @Tribal Outkast

I’m stocked up on NIKE, Jordans, ACG and New Eras. Went ham and at one point considered selling some off just because I wasn’t wearing them. I recently just started adding all of my prized shoes to my monthly rotation. I’d rather beat them into the ground than let them dry rot or collect dust.

@IsThatBrothaMouzone? @Tribal Outkast @Wig Twistin Season most coli posters live in abundance tho, we can lean on our collections to ride out bad markets... the folks who are gonna get affected the most by these tariffs are the ones who need to make their purchase when the pair they're daily driving wears out - and it's more likely that they have a job that requires already expensive work shoes. :francis:

idk if its a coincidence but i just so happen to check the prices on kobe 6 dodgers. Those prices dropped in my size significantly
i'd better be seeing on feet pics in the show room thread soon :myman:
