Yeah… I miss that about my dad. Growing up it was always my mom who cooked. But when she passed, my dad started taking an interest in cooking. Up until he passed he would make these large meals and text us and let us know he saved some for us to pick up. We’d go to his house and we’d get a hug and a bag full of containers with food to last us for days. He was so sweet like that. Like he would just text us the menu for the week. He followed me to Charlotte lol, moved to a house that was 5 minutes away from me just so he could see my son and do things for us. I miss him.:mjcry: Cherish your father, you never know when he’ll be gone.

I was headed there this weekend but my folks were going out of town

This is some dangerous talk right here. Petty gripes are one thing, choosing not to date bw is your prerogative, but to justify not liking an entire segment of the population over something as trivial as grandmas not cooking Sunday dinner is downright scary.

These the same men that will be running back to the tribe when shyt gets ugly in this country.

I know, we were supposed to meet up over the weekend. I’ve been having some crazy health issues. I will tell you about it when we meet up Saturday is good.

It's not that hard to cook Sunday dinner, not for grown adults to be fighting about it. It's not hard at all actually. In fact, it's easier than ever if measured in the time it takes.

Grandma was cooking for 6 kids, not 1.5 kids and a dog.

Microwave, oven, induction stove top, air fryer, crockpot. Modern manufacturing has made these appliances 10x cheaper, Amazon has made them readily available. Order your groceries online, curbside pick-up, don't even have to go in the store.

No, this isn't about cooking it's about being defiant and combative. It's about not wanting to be led.

If it isn't Sunday dinner, you'll get pushback on laundry or cleaning. They got roombas. Clothes aren't line-dried or basin-washed. The dryer comes with wrinkle-away. I can't remember the last time I bought a can of starch or used an iron.

Man said Sunday dinner. Not Sunday-Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturdaaaaay. Just Sunday.

I don't wanna hear it.

:unimpressed:

Cool have fun with heather and Maria. :manny:Enjoy rotisserie and carrots/enchiladas and tacos.

Shiittt I remember in elementary school going to my white friends house and watching their mothers cooking, I didn’t seem them wash their hands, and they stopped in the middle of cooking to pet or let their dog lick their hand and go right back to it. Think I’m playing. At my last job there was a gay white guy who was funny as hell, he never ate potluck stuff when they brought it to work. And whenever we asked them why, he got this look on his face :usure::mjpls:said he’s real particular and he don’t trust other people’s cooking and he don’t think they wash their hands when they cook.

It was only the white woman bringing in food and participating in the potluck. He knew his people.

The only folk I trust with the food at the potlucks are other black folk and the foreign joints.

Them cacs are known for fukking around with the food by putting all manner of shyt into it from drugs, chemicals and bodily fluids.:scust:

Nothing to rethink.

Cool. Then you should have no issue with what the women said on Twitter. Since you have a Latina who has a grandma that cooks for you all each Sunday.

Complacency and lazy, imaginary emotional refuges always need a rethink.

I’m a complacent, lazy, imaginary emotional refuge for not being envious of the group of Brehs getting home cooked meals (unseasoned) from Becky and Maria(one Breh said she cooks better than bw, so assuming he’s right that’s good for y’all)? Alright then. :manny: I’m too complacent and lazy to say much else to you. :skip:Good day breh.
