I don't need anybody to cook for me. However..I damn sure don't have the skills my mother has. She can make sweet potatoe and chess pies from scratch. Restaurant quality taste..better really. Knows how to make tender roast, fried chicken, baked chicken, grilled chicken/steaks/shrimp, can make Chinese food, knows how to tacos from the ground up, lasagna that taste wonderful and cheesy..knows how much time to let shyt cook perfectly. Just knows how to fukking cook. I would be Onslaught level if I had those kind of cooking skills.

It’s not women’s job to be your mother or grandmother. You are an adult. If traditions are only kept alive by one half of people it’s not gonna survive. And frankly if you sit back and let traditions die because someone else isn’t doing xyz…you don’t give a fukk about the tradition either.
This is largely a modern American failure. Italian men know how to cook, and keep their family food traditions alive. Asian men keep their family food traditions alive. Even Mexican dudes, arguably the most sexist men on earth, will keep their cooking traditions alive. Yet you can’t make a biscuit because…why exactly? It’s not your job? What is your job, tradition wise? What do you contribute to your family tradition?

If you come from a young family structure who isn't accustomed to cooking, then yes it would look hard to you. Good cooks can cook large meals effortlessly.
