we really werent tho, The World Is Not Enough, Mario Tennis, Battletanks, Majoras Mask, Diddy kong racing, hell even Lego Racing 2 got heavy play in my neighborhood.

As someone at the time who specifically asked for an N64 for christmas because i wanted sequels to all the big JRPGs from SNES era (earthbound, mario rpg, final fantasy, etc) it was the most disappointing console ever even though it had some sleepover classics.

3rd party leaving Nintendo is what changed my gaming habits.

Had a nikka playing Quest 64, while FF7 was out

Yep, and even as a kid I was never really competitive, I like coop games but other than that...yeah lets play the same tracks on MK64 for the 100th time or run around doing the same shyt on Goldeneye we been doing for months

If I wanted a little competitive play I had the goat Tekken 2 and if I wanted single player goodnes had RE, MGS, hundreds of JRPGS, Sympogoat of the night, too many to name.

N64 is when Nintendo lost me and I never looked back
