N64 was honestly really good.

PS1 was just wayyyy better.

Between that and GameCube, Nintendo realized they would never be able to compete with Sony. That's why they switched over to this Wii/Switch stuff. Instead of trying to be THE console, they positioned themselves as your secondary console.

All moderate to serious gamers will have a Switch plus either PC/PS5/Xbox. Curious to see if someone ever rises up to challenge them directly instead of just letting them sit comfortably in their space.
