And there will never be real change. No reparations, No bridging the generational wealth gap between white and black people, No investment in public schools in the black community,No police accountability etc
As long as you accept that this is how it is and how it will be forever then good, just don't be the type to accept the status quo then complain when the same status quo does what it always does
Isn’t what you are describing is being a fatalist while being an active voter.
I've worked in politics, and when you're a politician, there has to be some... maturity of thought about what you're trying to accomplish.
Politics is corrupt, true but someone like Nina Turner isn't the answer. She's immature, abrasive, makes enemies, and has shown herself to be unwilling to work with others to get her goals accomplished.
No politician can accomplish anything by his or herself. When the Founding Fathers set up this political system, it was built to have checks and balances. No one man or woman should have all that power... and they don't.
The American political system requires teamwork to accomplish anything, and by nature, you have to be willing to work with others to get things done.
Someone like Nina Turner isn't going to do that. She's going to run into the corruption, laziness, etc etc, and instead of looking at it as... "This is the system I was elected into and I need to figure out a way to outsmart these ppl so that I can get what I want."
She's going to get angry and start attacking them, waging her "one-woman war against the establishment" that's gonna get her nowhere.
You think there haven't been ppl before her that recognize the flaws in the system and want it changed? Of course there have been. Everyone in political office isn't corrupt.
But the ones who aren't corrupt recognize that the system inherently is flawed, and they do what they can to work within the system to accomplish things.
At least, that's what the smart ones do.
You have to learn to outsmart everyone else. Politics is a thinking man and woman's game. You have to use your brain, not brawn, to make moves. It requires shrewdness, cleverness, and outmanuevering.
From what I've seen of Nina Turner, she doesn't have those qualities.
