Russia hasn't been the enemy in almost 30 years.
Talk about brain washing. I mean when bill was hanging with Putin it was cool, when Hillary was hanging with Putin it was cool, when Obama was hanging with outin it was cool.....but now Russia is the enemy?
All these politicians and many other businesses and politicians have been making deals with Russia over the past thirty years but....
fukk it....brainwashing huh?
If Trump was just hanging with Putin it would also be cool.
Hanging/politicking = COOL
Subverting US elections and hiding potential financial conflicts of interest = NOT COOL
See how those two things are different?
So let's recap. It is in fact OK for our President to be chummy with other foreign leaders - even if we are not necessarily best friends. It is NOT OK for our President to appear so enamored by a foreign leader that he is willfully blind to how his actions are hurting U.S. interests.
Now, bear with me. I'm assuming you're a reasonable/rational person and not deliberately trolling. You may not necessarily agree with my contention that the President is enamored by Putin or that his relationship to Russia is innocuous. What I'm going to do (in bullet point format), is to list unresolved issues that would lead an objective/reasonable observer to wonder what is driving Trump's decisions.
1. recent NATO meeting where he refused to explicitly state support for Article 5 - something every US president has done and something that has huge symbolic value
2. unwillingness to open up his company/personal financial records to disprove allegations of massive financial connections to various Russia based entities/persons
3. going against the conclusion reached by every major US intel agency viz a viz the hacking
4. Trump's own contradictory responses to questions of his connections to/familiarity with Putin
5. all of the past/current administration/transition/campaign officials in the Russian orbit
The things listed above (1-5) would definitely NOT fall into the category of things that would be "cool" for our President to be engaged in.
