They push technology like soulless avatars. This what happens in a world dominated by blue blood reptilians.

fukk human development let's develop computer dust so we can control and watch you. Oh yea and were going to make you mortgage this new technology too:sitdown:

let other humans put foreign object inside of you that can be used to alter you, track you, control you and kill you.

Humans? You mean doctors? We must've read different articles because I didn't see anything in there intended to kill folks.

Yes technology has the potential to be used inappropriately. I guess you can go live in the middle of a forest if you want to stay away from cars, planes, vaccines, cell phones, laptops, and the internet if you want to but all of those things made us happier and live longer.

I guess you never heard of Transhumanism??? :lupe: .....You ok being part robot or your kids being part robot???

What posters are insinuating is that this is the tipping point, once they start putting these small devices in then things could get a lil crazy....potentially...not to mention the whole IoT, Internet of Thing hype

Why not? Why wouldn't we use technology to better ourselves? My grandfather had a pacemaker and it allowed him to live another 15 years. We help the blind see and the deaf hear using these types of devices. What's the argument against stopping here?

Let's say you can cure dementia/schizophrenia/some seizure disorder by implanting a pacemaker style device for the brain; something that can mitigate the effects of that disorder. Why would you withhold something like that from being used?

I've heard two arguments against this so far: some clandestine organization will misuse these things to harm us and the devil. I'm unconvinced of either.

Then you put the chip in your body and enjoy your Logans Run.

Technology is a double edge sword. Nobody denies that, but abuse is almost par for the course. Look at the current technology we have now,...........that's outside the body :heh:  .. we can be practical and positive thinking without being naive and/or purpose ignorant

The NSA may be spying on us RIGHT NOW:merchant:

Is that enough for you to get rid of your phone or computer? Gonna make a go for it off the grid?

What's there to be purposefully ignorant about? There's a trade off: potential misuse by whoever (and this is a big if and a huge discussion in itself) or the ability to detect cancer early, forgo many types of surgery, ect. I know which one I pick and I'm sure there's a ration argument against it; I just haven't heard that argument yet.
