I think Reggie pretty much stated where Nintendo is heading at 9:55.
Nintendo is in a transition stage in where it sounds more and more that they are going to be a 3rd party company or mostly focused on mobile.

The 3DS titles look good (Zelda Triforce, Mario Paper Jam) but aside from Star Fox Zero and I guess Mario Tennis, the Wii U showing was extremely weak.
I was really hoping for a real Metroid title.

It's true that's what I got from it too; nothing new announced for the Wii U that we didn't know about. Everything was for the 3Ds.Edit: Didn't they last year also show new games during the treehouse events.

Nope. Kinda weird actually since it's dropping soon but it might show up on one of the Nintendo Treehouse events.
They've been going down this path ever since they fukked up with the Wii. They should've kept the Wii U in development longer also so that it could compete with the Xbone/PS4 in technology, instead of being too stubborn to wait for current technology
Now they put themselves in a predicament where no 3rd party devs want to deal with their console, and they have to make the games themselves.
is this for real? I just sold the 3ds XL this past weekend since I never played it once. Guess my Wii U is next
