The short version is a guy found a game breaking bug in Mario Maker. He made a video posted it to YouTube as unlisted and used Linkedin to send the link to developers on the game.

The Nintendo employee basically lied to the guy saying they had the glitch on their radar and Nintendo pulled the Mario Maker servers down for "Emergency Maintenance" at a not normal time and fixed the glitch he pointed out to them. As a thanks they gave him a copyright strike for the video which was unlisted btw.

Nintendo needs a new core group to run that company. So much potential they had with this Mario Maker shyt and they are blowing it with stupidity.
Among other ip's, its a shame. They relied on Mario to much and it fukked them, they got more franchises to tap into but Nintendo just wants that for sure sale. And lets not get into the actual hardware...

I'm saying tho... They be fukking gamers over for a minute for those youtube shyt and they wonder why they have no goodwill here... :why:

I think the head branch (Nintendo of Japan) is still somewhat out of touch on how thing go in the west because they've been this on YouTube for years. That play as a big reason why most people who make money on YouTube don't play Nintendo games.

Why nintendo???? Why are you a$$holes?!?! :why:
Nintendo has always been like this. They're good at hiding it however.
If you guys ever read about the shyt nintendo would do back in the day when they ruled gaming with an iron fist :wow:

Seriously though read the book console wars.

Nintendo has this kiddy image but they have a very shady background.

At one point Nintendo accounted for 10% of wal marts sales. Think about that. Sega had to do crazy shyt to get their systems on store shelves because Nintendo was :birdman: status.

Hell, they were founded in 1889. They once ran a sex hotel. Theyve been linked to the yakuza for a very long time.

Nintendo once accounted for 10% of Walmart’s profits — and 5 other things I learned from reading ‘Console Wars’

"For example, Walmart barely even wanted to speak to Sega of America, let alone stock its Genesis system back in the early days of the 16-bit console’s life in the U.S. This was for multiple reasons — but particularly because the Nintendo Entertainment System and its software represented nearly a 10th of the Arkansas-based retailer’s profits. Of course, having Sega probably would have made Walmart even more money — so, why did it turn down Sega of America president Tom Kalinske when he asked them to make an order?

Because Nintendo was scary as hell.

The NES manufacturer once threatened to stop filling orders for any retailers that stocked games from rogue third-party manufacturer Tengen, which released unlicensed software for the NES in an effort to avoid Nintendo’s strict contracts. Nintendo’s threat was enough to convince every retailer to stop selling Tengen games, and it rippled through the industry and convinced companies like Walmart to avoid making decisions that might upset Nintendo … like stocking the Genesis."

I know the whole story. Nintendo were the definition of tyrants in the video game industry back in the day, plus that's also why I sympathize for Sega because they were the underdogs in the industry and respected more by developers.
