This doesn't affect 95% of consumers. I don't agree with Nintendo essentially bricking systems over this. But most people buy from mainstream sources.

According to the reddit user this is based on - He bought AUTHENTIC games, they just happened to be dumped prior. Switch carts have unique identifiers so the game being played via dump and OG cartridge in 2 places is what got him flagged and banned initially. Is it likely to happen to you? Probably not. But the potential is there for any legit used games purchased. He didn’t buy counterfeit games.
