My point is Nintendo doesn't need to produce hardware anymore. Same as it ever was. Nintendo produced hardware is just as much a stubborn idea they hold onto as them not wanting to do mobile games.

Their IPs are more valuable than whatever hardware they make. Stuff like Mario Kart 8 on PlayStation and Xbox could do GTA V numbers.

Imagine Sony putting out a home console and the market responding to it the same way it did the Wii U. Nintendo has been around decades. There's no way one of their central products should have ever done numbers like the Wii U did.

Whether or not y'all wanna admit it there's something wrong there that's deeper than the actual sales of just that system. I feel like there's likely more people at this point that would play their games and won't buy dedicated hardware to do so than there are that would buy dedicated hardware to play them.
