The game in its current state has no replay value. Once they add in trading, battling, and other things it will take over the world.
They wont have to release another Pokemon game, the sales they will do with in-game purchases will take Nintendo to the NX level.. on some Google shyt, already spent 11 dollars on these ingame purchases

@winb83 is right. History will repeat itself with the NX

"They have enough cash to lose money for 30 years" Is something that someone who clearly has no idea how business works and a claim I refuted in another thread

Nintendo's shares are soaring because they did something their shareholders
have been pushing for, for years.

If they would've kept on doing what they were doing then yes, they were
well on the path to be doomed in a literal sense.

I feel like threads like this ignore the reality of the situation, Nintendo a decade ago
would've laughed you out the fukking office if you asked them to dev for Cell phones.
Now here we are a decade later on the eve of two new consoles, one of which is replacing
one that completely and utterly failed, the other is replacing one that didn't even get close to it's
predecessor.

The move to mobile was one made for survival...not because they were doing well.

Hell Nintendo 4 years ago would have laughed you outta the office if you asked that of them.
Nintendo: don't expect 99-cent Mario game

You don't really see Sony and Microsoft doing those type of mobile games either. Nintendo was pushed into this by their shareholders. They never wanted to develop mobile games.

People wanna dress this up like this is a path they would have ideally wanted. In an ideal world the Wii U does Wii numbers and they have no need to make mobile games.
you keep moving the goal post. first it was pokemon go is bare bones and offers nothing, to now it's the plans can't be that big :beli: pokemon go players would be happy with simple stuff like trading pokemons, new pokemons, a friends list, sharing stuff to facebook or nintendo ID/miiverse. it's not meant to be a full pokemon game, simply a mobile game to play while you're walking or waiting around. two different markets.

as far as not needing to produce hardware, that doesn't make sense for them. nintendo wouldn't be able to expand it's nintendo universe and social platform if they only make games for sony or microsoft. they have too much to give up right now. you nintendo haters keep thinking short term whereas nintendo is pushing their IPs into other markets; pokemon in mobile, talks of zelda being a live-action series produced by netflix, nintendo themed park in japan and collectible figures in amiibo. they can still produce hardware while being a viable company.
At some point if the game gets enough features it becomes a threat to the actual Pokemon games.

As for Nintendo pushing their IPs into other markets, It's funny they had zero interest in doing any of this stuff until the Wii U flopped. This wasn't part of the plans. Where was the mobile Pokemon game when the Wii was half way into it's life and tearing up the charts in hardware sales?

And? What is exactly your point here? Everybody is aware of the wii u.

Good businesses adapt and thrive.

That's what nintendo is doing.

Who gives a shyt that they wouldn't have done this before?

The point is,every time you guys write this Company off they pull another rabbit out their hat and feast.

People have been writing them off as doomed for 20 fukking years now.

**scratches head**

What exactly is your point here? What is it you're trying to convey? A business put forward a plan (Wii-U). The plan didn't work out so they changed strategy. Why is this unusual to you?

Nintendo started off as a playing card company in old Japan, they will never fold. Always evolving.

Not happening.

Nintendo succeeds= Nintendo is doomed

If there was any gif to sum this entire thread, it's this:

They should make Pokemon Go 2 exclusive for the NX :troll:

$9.99 and feature the same shyt but with much richer and detailed GPS, online battles, NPC characters at certain places, modern graphics when battling etc.

Have ads for Pokemon Go 2 and shyt.
