I can't remember the last time I used the touchpad on the dualshock 4. Not important.
I don't think it's important either personally but I use it all the time in Infamous. The point is that yes, controllers have changed a lot since the Dualshock (the name Sony gave after they took the Rumble pak idea from Nintendo) and Nintendo's the one who makes everyone change their shyt up. We're acting like Nintendo doesn't do at least that

Looks like he's trying to backtrack a little saying that he doesn't know if this is Nintendo's product or not (even the leaker is unsure of it since it has no company logo on it.) and that he only ment to say that it's unfortunate that this got out because people will run with it blindly without knowing the facts.
How can the dualshock be more influential when they stole the rumble pack,stole the joystick,put in six axis after wii was announced,put in the touchscreen in response to wii u and made it wireless because of wave bird.The dualshock was more influential.
Yes, I understand that the dualshock was a response to the N64 controller, but the OG PS controller has been relevant for 20+ years now.

This argument is always spewed and is largely incorrect. Lemme school ya'll real quick:
Nintendo didn't invent the joystick. Analog sticks appeared in1976 on a console called the 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System that was made in Europe by a company named Radofin. Sega, Atari and Nintendo improved upon them. The N64 joystick was a single digital joystick whilst the PS1 dualshock was dual analog sticks which were far superior.
Sega had rumble in a game way before the Nintendo rumble pak. A 1976 game called moto-cross. Again, Nintendo just improved upon it.
Motion controls appeared first on Nintendo but the actual production of hte power glove had nothing to do with Nintendo. It was made by a company in Japan called PAX and Mattle in the USA.
The rumble pak came out a few months before the dual shock. A built in dual motor rumble is not exactly copying a single rumble pak... something that Sony improved upon as Nintendo did with the aforementioned technologies.
Sony had a wii motion like thing patent in 2003 and demo'd it in 2004, before the wii was even unveilied.
This notion that Nintendo created everything and Microsoft/Sony just steals their ideas is pure ignorance and fanboyism and I say that as a huge Nintendo fan. Technology is forward moving, just because someone comes out and shows something that's hot doesn't mean they invented it.

The Gamecube controller is the best controller Nintendo ever made, not the N64. The N64 controller was fukking terrible, it had great ideas but piss poor ass execution. Just LOOK at this shyt:

exactly my point. The rumble pak can't be used to say "Nintendo had it first" but then when Sony comes out with it in the form of integrated dual rumble for a controller in the same year all of a sudden it's copying.Rumble pak was a controller add-on.

The original Xbox controller did get its influence from the Dreamcast, but also with the dualshock with the dual sticks. Nothing modern controllers do these days resembles what the N64 controller was. On the other hand if you were able to connect an original dualshock controller to a PS4/XBOX ONE/ PC 99.9% of the games will work with the layout. That's not influence and establishing a trend? What is then? A single idea from what is often regarded as one of the worst first party controllers of all time?
