i denno man, i think only the stans think the cuddly bear shyt (at least on gamefaqs and sites like those)...cause when I did browse GF people who said exactly the same thing you did were usually called trolls and them stans would shyt on'em despite people using the evidence from the 80's of how nintendo would be a$$holes
It isn't about what they did when they were all powerful back in the 80s there's stuff they still do now. Selling cheat code and QOL improvements as toy based DLC, randomly staggering colors of systems they could have released in the beginning to boost sales. I swear they used to play with their inventory to cause shortages so they could get on the news and get fans in a fever pitch to FOMO buy their consoles. They just have even a recent history of squeezing every last drop they can out of their fans.
They sell old re-releases of their games at full price even knowing fans are likely repurchasing. Skyward Sword has no business being the full $59.99. Hell they still won't create a persistent digital marketplace like say Xbox Live where you buy their old games and can still access them even as hardware changes. Those Virtual Console games from the Wii if they do another Virtual Console you probably rebuying those instead of them just looking at your account and what you bought and giving you access on the new hardware too.
Let's not forget this is the company that created artificial scarcity on a digital download of old games to try and bait fans who were on the fence into buying them.
